These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FIRE Awareness (the "Service"), operated by RP Labs LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Not financial advice. FIRE Awareness is a personal informational and planning tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Figures, projections, and "safe-to-spend" numbers are estimates based on the data and assumptions you provide. Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

01The Service

FIRE Awareness is a personal financial-independence dashboard that helps you track spending, income, accounts, and projections toward your financial-independence / retire-early goals. Your financial data is stored locally in your browser by default; see our Privacy Policy for details on what limited data is processed on our servers.

02Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
You sign in using Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure and for activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes.

03Free access & paid membership

The Service offers free features as well as a paid membership that unlocks additional features (such as your precise FIRE goal, FIRE date, and safe-to-spend figure).
The membership is offered at $49 per year (founding-member pricing, subject to change for new members). Founding-member pricing, once purchased, remains in effect for as long as your membership renews continuously.
Paid memberships renew automatically at the then-current price for your plan unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your profile; cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access through the end of your current paid period.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes unless stated. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your card details.

04Refunds

Paid memberships are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service; (b) attempt to access other users' data; (c) use the Service to violate any law or third-party right; or (d) resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

06Third-party services

The Service integrates optional third-party providers, including Google (sign-in), Plaid (bank connections), RentCast (property estimates), and Stripe (payments). Your use of those features is also subject to the respective provider's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

07Your data

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter. You are responsible for keeping your own backups; because data is stored in your browser by default, clearing your browser storage may permanently delete it. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.

08Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any projection will prove accurate.

09Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RP Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

11Changes

We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date will change and material updates will be reflected here. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12Governing law & contact
